Welcome to my Fit Chicks site! Learning about and being active with health and fitness has been a big part of my life now for about 10 years. Most people that know me would say I may have a slight obsession, but I do really enjoy keeping my body in shape by working out, eating healthy, and challenging myself, and know that it is helping me now and will continue to help me in the future. I spend the summers running road and trail races with friends, and have also started doing some triathlons. In the winter, I stay in shape with spinning, bootcamp, kickboxing, and other various classes taught at the gym, along with weight training and every cardio machine imaginable (I like variety!). After years of Googling about health fitness, I feel like I have a brain full of knowledge, and with this site, I hope to share that and help others learn more and reach their goals.
I am currently in the process of studying for my ACSM personal training certification and plan to add custom workouts and custom meal plans to this site as soon as I can. I have found many generic workout and meal plans online before and have never enjoyed following them as much as I do when I customize based on things I actually enjoy doing and eating. I also plan to add reviews of workout programs including ones on Exercise TV On Demand, reviews of fitness and health related products, and a forum where women can inspire and support each other as they work towards their goals.
